This scene was photographed very early one morning during many attempts to photograph Corfe Castle at dawn for a National Trust audio visual presentation. After securing the picture I needed I began packing away my camera and tripod. On looking up I spotted this aircraft trail above the silhouette of the castle ruins in the misty morning light. It was a shot I just had to have and hastily grabbed the camera and took one hand held shot before the effect completely disappeared. The resulting image has been very popular and has even sold to a Dorset pilot who now lives in Australia, to remind him of his home county.
